ECG Training at the Moussoro Hospital

On May 21, 2026, Service au Sahel Tchad organized a three-hour training on ECG at the Moussoro Provincial Hospital.

Thanks to a collaboration between the hospital administration and Dr. Michael Schüle, the missing technical equipment like leads and paper were purchased so that the ECG machine could be functional and become part of the hospital’s range of diagnostic services.

As part of this training, participants developed practical skills in performing a 12-lead ECG. The training covered the basics of ECG diagnosis, including the most significant pathologies. The focus was on the practical exercise of interpreting the 12-lead ECG.

After reviewing the physiological principles of cardiac conduction, participants addressed the most common and dangerous conditions that can be diagnosed by ECG, including arrhythmias, AV blocks, bundle branch blocks, hypertrophy, and myocardial infarctions.

During one session, participants familiarized themselves with the practical operation of the Edan 1201 ECG machine.

Finally, they had the opportunity to evaluate ECG results as part of a practical exercise. Participants took full advantage of this opportunity.

The association is very pleased with the participants’ positive response and their dedicated participation during the preparation phase and throughout the training. Each of the participants received a certificate of completion.

Service au Sahel Tchad is very proud of the ongoing partnership it has had with the Moussoro Provincial Hospital over the past seven years.
